John Trick: I want everyone to be an anarch.
John Trick: Here we are, creatures of immortality and power, and we’re so desperate to cling to anything that resembles our past lives, we even adopt the oldest profession in the world: tyranny.
John Trick: There is only one law among the anarchs: I am my brother’s keeper.
John Trick: I may not agree with you, I may not like you, I may even despise you, but you are my brother. And I will die to protect you.
John Trick: I will not kill.
John Trick: I will not kill any kindred, regardless of sect.
John Trick: The actions of others, I cannot speak for.
John Trick: I can only speak for myself.
John Trick: I have taken action to demonstrate that we do look out for each other… and make our own justice.
John Trick: I even look out for those who are not members of my sect. All deserve respect and protection… even from their own Prince.
John Trick: Yes, he does.
John Trick: Some lessons are hard learned.
John Trick: We are all bound by a power as old as time itself. The Blood of Caine. It is this one common factor that makes us all brothers and sisters. Can’t you feel it? Feel it in your heart, in your veins, under your skin? It is old. Older than any of us. And it makes us one. We share that. I cannot harm you without harming myself. And if I must, I must. Some lessons must be taught with pain. But I share that pain, for in the end, we’re all bound together, whether we like it or not.
John Trick: The Camarilla keeps control of its own through division and hatred. The Tremere hate the Toreador and the Toreador hate the Ventrue, etc. Even among its own Clans, we posture and plot for power. But what do we gain? Nothing. If you need a thing, I give it to you. That is my way. That is our way. My brother suffers, I ease his suffering. Unfortunately, the Camarilla would take advantage of this. Thus, I cannot treat them the same way I treat my brothers.
John Trick: There are those in the Camarilla I trust and would walk through fire for. They remain silent because they know association with me would bring them shame within their sect. I understand this and I respect it. But, sooner or later, they will need to make a choice: between the man who would give them anything at a request, and the organization that would make them slaves. The choice they make tells me all I need to know.
John Trick: Think well… brother.
Cam Slave: Good evening, Mr. Trick.
John Trick: Good evening.
