I am seriously too tired to do this, but it must be done!
We sold more books than ever before. Safe to say we sold twice as many books as last year, and when you couple that with careful spending, we brought in a heapin’ helping of profit.
The rampaging success of the All-Frey’s-Day Game Design Seminar was evident to all around. After the seminar was over, our booth got slammed for the rest of the day. By Friday, almost all my books were gone.
My part of the seminar (World Design) kicked my ass. I haven’t had that much fun in a long time.
There was dancing (thanks Laura!) and 7th Sea (thanks Laura!) and I got laid (thanks Laura!). Yes, I’m making a pun involving a flower necklace. My voluntary monastic chastity is still intact.
Walking with Jared, I had a revelation. I now know the right approach for my Great Work. And ever after that moment, I wasn’t the same. Something changed. Something… I don’t know. The moment I figured it out, I started feeling like… like… Greg Stafford in a smoke house. Seriously, I was walking around half-baked on Saturday and Sunday, even though the only alien chemical in my body was caffeine. Slurred speech, laughing, giggling, seeing strange things. The whole works. I’d like to believe I touched something. Maybe got a little closer to the top of the tree. Maybe.
I’ll have pages done by the end of the week along with a complete design journal. Keep watching.
I picked up a bunch of books, almost all of which I paid for. Reviews forthcoming.
That’s it for now. I have to visit Promethea in the Immateria. She has a kiss for me.
