thelastmehina reminded me of an old Nietzsche quote I learned in college: “A real man wants two things: danger and play. Therefore he wants woman as the most dangerous plaything.” I’d change “plaything” to “playmate.” Sounds less like an object and more like an equal. Or a rival.
