Scott Haring was the editor at Pyramid magazine when I was writing my Play Dirty column. He defended me and my column with courage and conviction against a rabid non-silent minority.

On July 4th, he was in a car accident. His son was killed the rest of his family suffered injuries.

I haven’t thought of Scott in many years. Now, all I can think of is the way he brushed off complaints about my “abusive GM style.” When I talked to him about how people were complaining about the column, he laughed and told me, “Yeah, but they’re reading it.”

Scott is Good People. And as helpless as I feel, it can’t be as helpless as he feels.

Thank you for standing up for me, Scott. If there’s anything I can do, just let me know.
