Gen Con, The Best Four Days in Gaming!, is August 10-13. I’m gonna be hella busy.
At the Booth (#1237)
I’ll be there with copies of all my games along with my buddies and co-publishers, mementomori and latentblue. Also in attendance will be The Forge and other “indie” game designers. I don’t know if anyone’s called it “Indie Island” yet, but the nom de guerre is innevitable.
Interviews
Last few years, Jared, Annie and I got approached by a ton of people for interviews. Some we missed. I don’t want to do that this year.
As Jared said over in his own LJ, all you media folks who want interviews, it’d be best if you schedule them with me through e-mail. I’m going to be hella busy this time around and I want to give you the full attention you deserve.
Game Designer Workshop
Also, be sure to check out the famous Game Design Workshop. This will have Ron Edwards, Clinton Nixon, Jared Sorensen, Luke Crane, and myself talking about all aspects of game design from initial inspiration to writing to finding an editor to finding a printer to putting up a webpage to having great on-line rants so you can scare up publicity for your book. It’s a full day seminar, but you can take individual sections without spending the whole 8 hours with a bunch of smart asses.
The last time we did this, it was standing room only. It was also a lot of fun. Sign up now before all the seats are taken!
And last but not least…
GM for Charity
I’m debating running an auction through Thursday and Friday. I will run any game the winner chooses–for his or her friends–including (gulp) D&D or (double gulp) SenZar. The proceeds of the auction will go to the Shriner’s Hospital my Masonic Lodge supports.
I am debating this idea. Feedback is appreciated.

Anyway, that’s some of the stuff I’ll be up to at Gen Con. I’m sure other things will come up. I’ll be a busy boy and these old bones just ain’t got what they used to have. So, probably no pole dancing this year.
Probably.
