As you can find out at their website, Green Ronin has been the victim of another “take the money and run” distributor/fulfilment house. This is not uncommon in the game industry. In fact, it’s far too common.
Because the people over at Green Ronin are exceptional human beings, they’ve devoted their sales to paying off their freelancers. They’re running a “Freelancer Fundraiser” to help pay off the money they owe to the people who are the true work horses of our hobby.
Now, as faithful readers of mine know, I am no fan of d20. On the other hand, there are two companies who produce such exceptional product, I have no choice but to put up with their selection of task resolution systems. One of those companies is Green Ronin.
If you are a fan of the work we do at The Brewery, you should go see what the Green Ronin people are doing with their products. Frankly, they’re polishing the biggest, stinkiest turd in town (the d20 engine) into a big brilliant diamond. I hate them for that, but I love ’em for it, too. It’s a love-hate thing, really.
Go help out Green Ronin. They deserve your help. Get Blue Rose and True 20 and Mutants and Masterminds. These are not good games, they are great games. And great work deserves your support.
