I was talking to a friend (I’m keeping his name out of it) about the whole Evolution/Creation thing. I said,

“My goal is to make Creationists act like scientists. Not with
“proofs,” and “claims,” but with falsification and double-blind
studies.”

My friend emailed this to the kind people at Answers in Genesis.

This was their reply:

Dear XXX,

Thank you for contacting Answers in Genesis. Atheists have no basis by
which to tell the truth so always be leery of their claims. See, in
their view, there is no God, thus, there is no right and wrong, so
murder, rape, lying cheating, etc. are neither right nor wrong in
their view. If it is, then they compromise their atheism.

Yes, I see nothing wrong with murder, rape, lying and cheating. Yes, that’s me.

His statement doesn’t indicate that creationists falsify or do
double-blinded studies but says scientists do this. Even, so we have
no reason to falsify or do double blind studies.

Regarding double blind, most of what we report even comes from secular
studies because we all have the same science and we all have the same
facts, it is merely the interpretation that is different. So they are
obviously not double blinded.

One thing you need to pose to this atheist is why he believes logic
exists. From a Christian perspective, logic exists because we start
with the axiom that God exists and His Word is truth. Since we are
created in His image, logic exists and we can use logic.

From an atheistic perspective, then logic is purely an accidental
chemical response in our brain. It is the same as an illogical thought
– merely a chemical reaction in the brain. From a materialistic point
of view, logic is just an accident. How can you know that an accident
can yield truth?

To make the statement that logic can yield a truthful result, means
that absolute truth must exist, hence God. For an atheist to use
logic, they must first prove that it exists and can yield truth.
