Prelude to a secret…
In 1307, the Poor Knights of the Temple of Solomon were tried and found guilty of crimes against God. Heresies of such profanity, the entire Order was condemned to death.
Two days before the Inquisition came to bring Jacques de Molay to trial, the Grand Master gave thirty knights his final command. To each of them, he gave a small box, carved in silver and gold. Then, standing outside the Order’s functionary in Cypress, a thick mist descended upon the island, de Molay ordered the thirty knights to mount their horses, ride into the mist, and not look back until they could no longer hear his voice.
The thirty knights did as they were ordered, riding into the thick fog until the voice of their Grand Master was no more.
When the Inquisition came to arrest de Molay, they hoped to claim the wealth accumulated by the Order. The Pope, the Archbishop of Averoigne, and the King of France set the entire action in motion for just that purpose: to steal the greatest treasure in the history of the world.
What they found were empty coffers and a smiling Jacques de Molay.
To this day, no-one knows what happened to those thirty knights who rode into the fog.
But soon… you will.
THIRTY is a Little Game about a Big Treasure and a prelude to a much bigger game I hope to release later next year.
