Wrong. There’s a third category.
I’m a Buddy Person.
Yesterday was “the Day the Music Died.”
Buddy Holly was more important to popular music than most people know. He popularized overdubbing, invented and refined production techniques we’re still using today, and refused to be categorized. He recorded music. Not rock ‘n’ roll, not country, just music. The Beatles often said they were trying to sound like The Crickets on their early albums. His inventive ingenuity inspired the world’s most popular bands in ways that could take volumes to fill.
Buddy Holly. Gone, but not forgotten. At least, not by me.
Never Fade Away, Buddy.
(thanks to learsfool for reminding me.)
