I wrote an article for
I ran Wicked Fantasy this weekend for some friends. It’s d20 with everything I’d change. No alignment, no classes, no levels, exploding dice, no spell slots, attack and defense skills, different elves, different humans, different dwarves, PC orks, PC goblins, PC illithid, the works. The general response was: “This is very clever, John. But, it’s still D&D. Why don’t you make your own system?” I felt that, too. “Don’t make a point, John; make a game.”
Eldritch High is almost to the playtest phase. This weekend maybe.

My chapter on The Unknown for CHILL 3rd is brewing in my head, almost ready for the page.
I write the final chapter of the Battle for Meridell script today. The last one — I had to go to the bathroom and wash my face. One of my co-workers asked, “Are you okay?” I had to tell him I had something in my eye. Allergies. Something. Of all things, the word “Goodbye” is what got me.
