The Bush campaign launched a series of attacks on Kerry’s character by claiming he was critical of the Vietnam War. Kerry’s campaign quickly reminded the President’s people that Kerry was a veteran while their own candidate can’t even prove he was at the Air Force base he was assigned to. Another example of strategery.
