Walker’s alive.
I’m not exactly sure how I feel about that, or what to do with it.
I need a moment to consider…
I’m not at my computer, not even at my house. “Write something brilliant.” Beat. “Right now.”
Okay.
Nice to know I still can.
Friday
I found myself writing something completely outside the boundries of my job on Friday. I’ve been told it’ll see the light of day someday. I wait with baited breath.
At around 3:00, we were told the whole office was going out to see “Finding Nemo.” I laughed my ass off the whole ninety minutes. The sharks and seaguls were my favorites.
(“Mine!”)
Went out to dinner with friends at a place called “Swingers.” Retro 70’s restaurant. Our waitress was very cute and very flirty. She was also the only waitress on the floor. We left her a big tip. Been there, done that, didn’t get a tip. That sucks.
The Vampire TT game got cancelled. That’s okay. This Friday.
And my surprise is ready, willing, and able.
(The shovel was nothing. NOTHING!)
Saturday
Got out of the old apartment and got into the new. Picked up my folks’ truck late Friday night. I hoped to have two trucks to move the desk and the futon, but instead, ended up taking two trips. Rob, Steve, and the ‘ling helped out. Great guys. Thanks.
As for Saturday night… that’s my own concern. But, I will admit that rum really does do wonders for an Irishman’s temper.
Sunday
The debacle that was Adultcon meant I had to help out a friend… twice. Spent the rest of the day consoling and eating Chinese food. Then, cleaned out our living room, gave away a few books, and shared some poetry I haven’t shared in a long time.
Went to sleep content. For the first time in a long time. I’m surrounded by friends, I’ve eliminated almost all the negative energy in my life, and my job is wonderful. Just one thing is missing.
It’s been six months. Mourning is over.
I’m in the new place. We don’t have internet access yet (I’m typing this on a friend’s computer), but we have the new place. Rob looks to be a great roommie. And, with
The next Vampire TT promises to be… I can’t say anymore. I’ve got my guest NPC. That’s all you get to know.
(Speaking of the ‘Head, I miss him. He’s only gone three days. Guh.)
I used to have a tradition of setting up a game on a table in the corner, ready to play at a moment’s notice. I was going through the boxes, looking for something to set up. Most of my favorite games, none of my friends know how to play, so putting them out gives them an opportunity to look, get curious, and ask questions.
I found the game I wanted, set up the board, and placed the first piece. Now, I’m just waiting for someone to place the next one.
If I had a nickel for everyone who told me Brotherhood of the Wolf is the 7th Sea movie… well, I’d have a lot of nickels.
So, last night, I watch it in the new apartment.
And now, I am officially, completely, totally, and helplessly in love with Monica Bellucci.
I jumped up from my desk and shouted, “I GOT IT!!!”
Everyone knew exactly what I was talking about.
And, to the lady who said, “I hope you get it, just so I can see you wear it…”
Heh.
Only if I get to see you wear it… A fair trade, I think.
(It’s up in my shop now…)
